Disabled Patriot Fund Assistance Requirements
 

Veterans must meet all the requirements listed below to receive assistance from the Disabled Patriot Fund:



• Served in the United States Military

• Discharged under Honorable Conditions

• Primary residence must be in Illinois or is currently being seen at an Illinois Veteran's Administration facility

• Sustained injuries while serving in a Department of Defense designated Combat Zone/Hostile fire area

• Needed assistance is a direct cause of injuries sustained in a Department of Defense designated Combat Zone/Hostile fire area

• Assistance requested pertaining to PTSD and/or TBI injuries must include a letter from the Physician stating cause and effect - and continuous care
  
  ​These are the basic requirements; the board will still need to review situation as a whole and then determine if assistance will be granted.
